ITC Avant Garde Gothic Condensed was drawn by Ed
Benguiat in 1974. Obliques were added by André Gürtler, Erich

the series with ITC

Unfortunately the current digital ITC version does not include the optically corrected obliques. Bitstream’s and E+F’s versions do, but lack all the ligatures and alternates.
