West Behemoth

Designed in 1960 by Dave West for Photo-Lettering, Inc. Shown in PLINC’s One Line (1971) in various styles incl. West Behemoth (Clarendon) with accompanying Italic and Italic Swash styles, Semicondensed and Condensed, Shaded (outlined letter with solid shadow), Comstock (solid letter and shadow with white contour), and a decorated Starred variant.

A condensed style (PL Behemoth) was released by Monotype in the 1990s. The new incarnation of PLINC issued their Martin Wenzel-digitized West Behemoth, in regular and italic, around 15 years later.

As of December 2020, West Behemoth and West Behemoth Italic are available from House Industries as Plinc Behemoth.
