Designed by Heinz König and issued by Rudhard’sche Gießerei (from 1906 Gebr. Klingspor) in 1899 [Wetzig 1926–40] [Reichardt 2011] or 1900, together with the accompanying Walthari-Initialen [Bertheau 1995]. A bold weight was added in 1901.
Digitized by Mike Allard as Perry Gothic (DeNada Industries, 1992). Dieter Steffmann’s Augusta (2000, with Shadow style) and “Typo-Graf”’s Berry Rotunda (2016) built upon this poor freebie. For better versions, see Waltari by Tom Wallace (HiH, 2008, used for the sample) and Gerhard Helzel’s digitization under the original name (2010).
