First three styles designed in 1961 by André Cretton. One of the first sans families with a medium extended italic [Penrose Annual]. Originally produced for photocomposition by the Amsterdam Type foundry [Millington 2002]. Acquired by Stephenson Blake and issued as foundry type in five styles; normal, Bold, Bold Italic, Extended (shown), Extended Italic [Reichardt 2011]. The uppercase apparently is derived from Copperplate Gothic by removing the tiny serifs.
