The condensed range of the Futura family was started with the schmalfett (1930), followed by schmalhalbfett (1936) and schmalmager (1950). [Reichardt] A fourth Extra Bold Condensed style with oblique was added at Intertype in the 1950s and isn’t part of Bauer’s official series (see also Futura Extra Bold).
The digitizations by Neufville, Bitstream, Berthold, Linotype, Elsner+Flake and ParaType all have 4 condensed weights plus (oblique) italics.
