Footnotes is a lovely new type design periodical published by La Police, a Swiss digital type foundry. The first issue contains articles by František Štorm, Atelier Carvalho Bernau, Alan Bartram, Louise Paradis and Brigitte Schuster.

Each text is set with a typeface related with the subject at hand:
Josef is an unreleased monospaced typeface designed by Atelier Carvalho Bernau in 2010, based on Olivetti Candia.
BG Nr. 4325 is “part of three ‘Schreibmaschinen-Schriften’ that were developed in-house by the Bauer Foundry, meant for type setting and not for use on a typical typewriter machine”.
LP Jung is an in-progress typeface by La Police.
Grotesque 4142 is an unreleased typeface designed by François Rappo in 2009.

A second issue is expected to ship around summer 2017.

    1. What a nice surprise to discover Footnotes here, thanks Maxime for posting! Some additional information:

Josef was drawn for Dear Reader, now out-of-print but pictured on the designers’ website. LL Lettera is another take on Candia, available as retail from Lineto.

BG Nr. 4325 was redrawn by the editor, initially for a series of four publications looking like this.

Grotesque 4142 is a private revival in one weight of Haas’ Normal Grotesk.
