Pale Saints — In Ribbons album art

Pale Saints always were that underrated shoegaze band, wedged in between the inspiration of My Bloody Valentine and pop-fury of Ride. But if you take the dive, you’ll find three albums of rich songwriting and fantastic textures. The band’s second album In Ribbons is without much doubt their best, both in terms of sound and type. Here, profilic 4AD designer Vaughan Oliver teams up with Chris Bigg, using various styles of Futura to create a layered type mat, echoing the pedal driven noise of the guitars.
