Motor for ‘Motorcars’ – Berthold Wolpe is guilty of a flawless LTypI!

Motor was cut by the Ludwig & Mayer foundry in 1930, after drawings by Karl Sommer. Unlike its sibling Dynamo, Motor is decorated with open stripes that look like chrome reflections or speed lines. It has been digitized more than once, most successfully by Steve Jackaman as Motorcross.

    1. See also Wolpe’s jacket design for Film as Art that constitutes another superb LTypI.
