Gord’s Burgers is a classic burgers & fries pop-up in Kitchener, Ontario. The branding, executed by The High Road Design, is simple but certainly effective. The heavy lifting is done by the recently published psychedelic typeface Wanchy, paired with all-caps Futura Bold and a simple squircular border, which ties the layout together nicely.
The logo is primarily used in the form of an ink stamp, which creates a naturally attractive texture when used on the paper bags in which Gord’s food is served. The logo is also applied to the usual branded items: menus, signs, and quintessentially, baseball caps.
