Cover of the weekly magazine extra, which was published from March until October 1991. The editorial team was based in East Berlin and the magazine was the direct successor to the GDR’s popular and high-circulation NBI (Neue Berliner Illustrierte), which had been acquired by Gruner+Jahr.
The extra logo uses Gerstner Original. Headlines are set in various widths of Franklin Gothic. The serif used for body copy is yet unidentified.
