The PlayStation 4 user interface features the SST typeface. Designed by Akira Kobayashi for Sony Entertainment, it’s become their wholesome brand typeface.

Each PS4 comes installed with the main typeface (Latin, Cyrillic, Greek); and in addition, the Thai; Arabic; Vietnamese; and Japanese extensions. Each of the languages, excluding Japanese, comes in a set of four weights, from Light to Bold. Japanese only comes in Bold and Regular. Each of the main typeface’s weights comes in both upright and italic styles. SST Typewriter, a single-width offshoot of the main typeface, is installed in Regular and Bold weights. Internally, they’re stored in the directories “/preinst/common/font” and “/system/common/font2”, in OpenType format.

In the default interface, the typeface is set white on a blue background. Alternative colors to blue are available, though in each case the text remains white.
