I have a degree in Graphic Design from the University of Buenos Aires, where I met Typography and Calligraphy for the first time. I have a degree in Graphic Design from the University of Buenos Aires, where I met Typography and Calligraphy for the first time. The program includes two years of Typography, and during the first year, calligraphy — mostly the Foundational hand — is taught as a base, to learn about the structure of letterforms: their proportions, the ductus of strokes, the thick-thin contrast, letter spacing, and more. This is how my calligraphic work began, which I later used in type design. I started out as a self-taught type designer, combining the methods taught at college with researching the historical origin — calligraphy — to learn how letterforms work. I have studied calligraphy such as Cancilleresca, Roman Capitals, English Roundhand and Ruling Pen with Eugenia Roballos and Betina Naab in Buenos Aires. I also made an intensive workshop with Julian Waters, Georgia Deaver and Carl Rohrs in Boston.

Since 2009, I design fonts in Typesenses, my own foundry. Every font I publish is a great success and they have been part of the Best Sellers list. I personally work in every step of the font design process: idea, drawing, programming, release and sale.
