An open-source digitization of the types by Claude Garamond (roman) and Robert Granjon (italic) as shown on the Egenolff–Berner specimen from 1592. Started by Georg Mayr-Duffner in 2011; v0.014 (Aug. 2012) offered two optical sizes (8 and 12pt) plus roman small caps and initials, with support for Latin, Greek, and Cyrillic. By v0.016 (Apr. 2014), an italic for the 8pt size was added.
Continued by Octavio Pardo. The version offered on Google Fonts (v1.001) is the 12pt size and comes in five weights in roman and italic, as well as in variable font format.
