Detroit Bodoni
(Sample unavailable)
“From 1800 to his death in 1813, Giambattista Bodoni cut, cast & printed for the Duke of Parma the magnificent types that have come to exemplefy the modern face. His works survive in all their glory at the Ducal palace, above the world’s first modern theatre. In 1907, Morris Fuller Benton began the ATF revival of Bodoni that served as the model for Richard Lipton, who designed this series for the pages of The Detroit Free Press.” – Font Bureau, 1998.
