    Alessandro Alessandroni’s untitled album from 1971 (shown above) — also known as La Farfalla (“The Butterfly”) — was originally printed in 500 copies only and is considered the “Holy Grail” of Italian soundtracks, featuring music “between classicism and psychedelia, the particular use of the voices of his Cantori Moderni, the impressionistic strings, and the inimitable sound of distorted guitar that many times we have heard and loved in the soundtracks of Ennio Morricone and Bruno Nicolai.” — Cometa Edizione Musicali

    Its cover typography with Aldo Novarese’s Ritmo in all-caps is picked up by SerGiotto for a recent reissue that adds new archival recordings as Butterfly 3 (shown below).
