Multiple typefaces have been used for Jazz St. Louis’ invitation and program to its annual fundraising gala. Jazz St. Louis is an organization whose mission is to advance the art of jazz through live performance, education and outreach.
The design for the event’s invitation and program is a contemporary take on classic jazz graphics, using silkscreened neons for the invite and a tone-on-tone bronze foil for the program cover.

Uppercase letters like JON BATIST look like OPTI Venus Bold Condensed to me. It’s a condensed Grotesk variation with slanted ends which is pretty specific. Just look at the capital S, the ends have about 20deg slants.
Right, it’s definitely some form of Venus Condensed. The angled terminals are not specific to Castcraft’s OPTI digitization. They were featured in Bauer’s original metal version, too, see this specimen for the schmal halbfett:
Chances are that it’s indeed the OPTI version we’re looking at here: this bold condensed weight isn’t covered by the digitizations by Linotype, Scangraphic, or URW. See also Font Bureau’s Vonness and Production Type’s Mars Condensed.
