In The New Way of the World: On Neoliberal Society Pierre Dardot & Christian Laval deconstruct the neoliberal agenda, realizing Foucault’s radicial approach to the history of capitalism. The cover references our modern techno nightmare by Charles O’Rear’s Bliss, the penultimate image of global capital.
This is a heavyweight hardcover that defines the oft-abused term “neoliberalism,” and frames the neoliberal subject within it (here’s an excerpt). The cover is a perfect wheat-pasted broadsheet pegged to the infinite space of your desktop — that’s how I read it, anyway.
