I love the big black slab serif “D|R” on the cover with the bright yellow and white Marimekko print in the background. It’s a very iconic cover for a very iconic store. DR’s furniture as well as Ben Thompson’s design for the DR Store on Brattle Street in Cambridge was famous for being bold, modern, simple, and transparent. I love how Pentagram’s design suggests both the sense of strong architectural structure and organic, patterned textile.
