    XXXI (“Thirty-One”) is a mixed-use project space, a shared studio and an online (and sometimes physical) store. Its identity is based on the space itself – the studio’s storefront serves as the grid for everything that is created. The system is flexible enough to accomodate all uses, from print to web to signage down to the modular furniture system. Grilli Type’s GT America with its versatile widths and weights was the perfect addition to this system. The width used changes depending on the container (a box, a window, a postcard, a phone, etc), which makes any environment into a responsive type system.
