From the New York Times-bestselling author of The Interestings, an electric, multilayered novel about ambition, power, friendship, and mentorship, and the romantic ideals we all follow deep into adulthood, not just about who we want to be with, but who we want to be. … Charming and wise, knowing and witty, Meg Wolitzer delivers a novel about power and influence, ego and loyalty, womanhood and ambition. — megwolitzer.com

For the cover design, Ben Denzer tucked big white caps between the colored stripes of an oscillating pattern made from concentric triangles. The font is Tobias Frere-Jones’s Garage Gothic Black — see also Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues.

    1. Emily Temple of Literary Hub comments on the current trend in book cover design:

2018 is the year of the all-caps typography—or to be more precise, big, blocky, sans-serif type treatments, usually somewhat condensed (or at least more vertical than they are horizontal), usually in white or black (but sometimes in warmer colors) against either a riotous, black-based background or a neutral one. … this style proclaims literariness, importance, and coolness all at once. The big letters say: this is an important literary book. The exuberant backgrounds say: and it’s totally hot right now.
