    Curiosités judiciaires et historiques du Moyen Âge. Procès contre les animaux (“Judicial and historical curiosities of the Middle Ages. Trial against animals”) was written by Émile Agnel (1810–1882) and originally published in 1858. Axel Pelletanche Thévenart’s interpretation of the text is set in Laica.
