With this design I was trying to walk the line between anachronistic and contemporary. HTML is itself “old” by many people’s perceptions of technology, and Bradley DJR seemed a great fit to communicate this, as the font design itself was created to aid the modern American readers of the late 1890s with the Blackletter genre. David Jonathan Ross has created a great digital version. It includes a variable font which I used to make this, adjusting each line to try to match line length as best I could with some manual adjustments to refine it.
