Oh, the familiar Kingston Trio sound and style are here all right: the boys singing, either together or in solos, and playing their won accompaniments as before. This time, however, their voiceband instruments are set against larger-scaled backgrounds arranged an conducted by talented Jimmie Haskell, and the rest (did we say?) is something special.
The band name is in Tourist Gothic, with several of the round “gas-pipe” alternates (EKNGSR) designed by Sol Hess in 1928. Thanks to Paul Hunt, these letterforms are also available in digital form, see LTC Tourist Gothic.
