To be honest, I am not an avid collector of public transit stubs – or rather, not a collector at all – but I have saved some things from time to time. And while rummaging in the attic, looking for something completely different, you may retrieve these things. It’s nice to see the evolution in the design of these Tienertour tickets. It’s fun to note the prices and the different period of validity: eight days, four days, five days.

    1. Introduced in 1969, “Tienertoer” was a popular way for teens to try their hand on making trips without their parents. Sold at a friendly price, the tickets were valid for travelling anywhere in the Netherlands using public transport (trains for free, regional buses at a reduced price). Tickets were valid for a limited number of days. Note the typography in all lowercase.

Univers was the corporate typeface used by Nederlandse Spoorwegen (Dutch Railways) since 1968, when the new identity by Tel Design (featuring the iconic logo by Gert Dumbar) was introduced.
