Self-titled debut album by the Australian Southern Contemporary Rock Ensemble, an eleven piece outfit with two singers who disbanded one year later after releasing their second and final album.
SCRA was a jazz-rock outfit from Sydney, who were popular on the local club/festival circuit. Their first album combined a big band sound with some progressive leanings and a few pop moments. — Rock on Vinyl
The cover was designed by Sydney-based designer Barry Cannings/Art Design Studio who picked the squarish yet lively uppercase of Dominante for the front cover. The back cover uses the cover typography, combined with an introduction in Palace Script and Optima in use for the track listing.
