In 1997, Dan André Niemeyer’s (@ibitarium) only retail typeface so far was released: Linotype Vision. I hadn’t seen it in use before, but given its name, it seems like a natural choice for any eye-related business. ‘Saccade’ is one possible translation of the name seen here.
Blicksprung is an optometrist in Bremen, Germany. With the interplay of inner and outer outline, Vision reminds me of paper-clip-like faces from the early 1970s, like Chin Century 2000, Branding, Eggomania, Neo Script, or Tangui. Some glyphs are also reminiscent of the recently released Standard by Benoît Bodhuin.
