Thesis cover and editorial design for The Early Flooding Signal – Ethylene Acclimates Plants To Survive Low-Oxygen Stress by Sjon Hartman MSc., a plant biologist and post-doctoral researcher at the Plant Ecophysiology group of Utrecht University.
Hartman’s thesis is a clean and contemporary, straightforward designed book, using Futura Book, Italic and Bold, accompanying the delicate photography with pronounced and plainspeaking typography for a nice contrast, while retaining proper readability.
