All-caps Peignot demi-gras and Astrée italique for the cover and title page of “my first Larousse in color”, a French illustrated children’s encyclopedia with 1,885 words and 1,700 plates and drawings. The book was edited by Marthe Fonteneau and Suzanne Theureau, and published by Librairie Larousse, Paris in 1953.

The book’s interior is set in various sans serifs: Headwords appear to be in Erbar-Grotesk (or a similar typeface?). The example sentences are set in two weights of Monotype Grotesque, while the conjugated forms and the captions feature several styles from Gill Sans.
