A charming piece of fascia lettering, closely patterned after Letraset’s University Roman (1972). The typeface goes back to an alphabet shown by Ross F. George in Speedball lettering catalogs of the late 1930s. On this shop front, it’s used exclusively in lowercase. The two fields, interior design and decoration, are separated by an asterisk.

Documented by isoletters (Christopher Bergmann) in Biarritz, France in 2017.

  1. The accents as well as the apostrophe were customized, compare to Letraset’s original instant lettering sheets. I like the curly accents better, certainly in this application. The asterisk appears to be a custom addition, too.
