New Year’s greeting card with embossed women’s head, probably from the first decade of the 20th century. The textura with diagonal hatching originated at the Bruce Type Foundry in New York, as Invitation Text. The same face or a similar one was shown by ATF in 1901 as Tiffany Text, and was renamed to Typo Text before 1912.
The version used here is one of the many German ones, which went under names including Schraffierte Gotisch (Genzsch & Heyse, Berthold et al.), Asta (AG für Schriftgießerei u. Maschinenbau/Numrich), Elegant (Stempel), Hero-Gotisch (John), Ilse (Roos & Junge), Libelle (Gronau), and Stella (Bauer).

Helzel has a good digitization of Schraffierte-Gotisch.
Thank you for the pointer, John! I’ve added this info to the typeface page.
