Wakaze Saké combines Japanese tradition and French culture. Bringing together the best history with the best of today: modern methods, passionate people and quality local ingredients. Wakaze believes sake should be for everyone, everywhere, with no pretence or rules attached.
Absolution by Helsinki Type Studio gave us a typeface with heaps of unique personality whilst staying universally friendly. The typeface also lent itself well to the overlapping animation created to enhance the two cultures coming together.
Ambit by CoType Foundry has been used as an accompanying typeface for the brand. It’s simple and modern but has beautifully details that complemented the art of sake brewing.
The Japanese text on the website uses PingFang.
