G2 Kosmos and Lebenszeichen in use for a double-sided poster we did for the exhibition Piktogramme, Lebenszeichen, Emojis: Die Gesellschaft der Zeichen (“Lebenszeichen, pictograms, emojis: the society of signs”) at Leopold-Hoesch-Museum in Düren, Germany.

It shows an application of the symbol-based typeface of Wolfgang Schmidt’s Lebenszeichen (“life signs”). He used the signs to, as he said “measure the cosmos of experiences”. Designers Moritz Appich and Bruno Jacoby combined his symbols into a dingbats-like font and used his signs to measure their cosmos of experiences.
