Originally published in 1991, The Kitchen God’s Wife is the second novel by Amy Tan. This is the jacket of the German book club edition, issued by Bertelsmann Club under license from Wilhelm Goldmann Verlag. The translation is by Sabine Lohmann. The design combines typography in Hawthorn with an image from the Archiv für Kunst und Geschichte, Berlin.
