Katinka Bock – Rauschen
The catalog documents three exhibitions realized by the artist from 2019 to 2020 at Pivô in São Paulo, at the Kestner Gesellschaft Hannover, and at Anticipations in Paris, and weaves the individual stations into a unity of experience. Historical events that are independent of one another are intertwined on the level of meaning in the three exhibition projects.
A special role is played by the material bronze, which for Katinka Bock possesses not only protective and insulating qualities but also the ability to transport energy. Thus, the expansive installations become symbols of cohesion, knowledge transfer, and emotional involvement. With texts by Lea Altner, Thomas Boutoux, Fernanda Brenner, Adam Budak, Rebecca Lamarche-Vadel, François Quintin, Clara Schulmann, Christina Végh and the artist.
