This advertisement record produced by Pan Am airlines repurposes a series of ads Pan Am’s agency, J. Walter Thompson, must have run around 1969. Wonderfully of their time, in both style of image and typeface choice. The headlines are set in Cheltenham, while the interior copy is set in Univers. The labels use the Trade Gothic family of type. The illustrations are all by Henry “Hank ”Syverson, a prolific cartoonist and illustrator, who worked on the Pan Am account for a few years.

The album itself is a collection of the audio commercials Pan Am used in their radio/TV spots. Side B includes a few variations inspired or commissioned for the record from Sammy Davis Jr. and Steve Allen. You can listen to the whole album over at the Internet Archive.
