Issue #42 (Autumn/Winter 23/24) of Slanted is about books. Every day, people ponder whether the future of the (printed) book is tied to its sensual quality. How can beautiful books secure their place in the media and society? How are content, medium, and form interconnected? Is manufacturing and design quality, in addition to its functionality, simply to be understood as a marketing argument?
Since 2014, the Slanted magazine design team has been using Suisse Int’l (Swiss Typeface) as part of its editorial identity. For this issue, the team combined this typeface with Exposure designed by Federico Para Barrios and distributed by 205TF.
