Serwis is a place promoting niche art, the idea of “do it yourself”, and above all, artists who consciously place themselves outside the mainstream. The core of Serwis’s commercial offer is works created in the V9 screen printing studio. These are limited editions of hand-printed graphics on paper and clothes. The place also offers publications from independent publishing houses.
It is rooted in the principle of eclecticism, bringing together a wide variety of artistis. To balance this diversity, Ola Rubik’s design system embodies a “less is more” philosophy, where simplicity and clarity allow the eclecticism to shine without overwhelming the viewer. The design thoughtfully integrates minimalist infographics and bold, clean typography. The choice of typography plays a crucial role in the system, with Halisa by Tekio that not only commands attention but also provides structure.
A key component of the gallery’s design lies in the curation of exhibition posters. These allow the artwork to take center stage framing each piece within a simple, yet striking, context. The design avoids excessive ornamentation, instead letting the artwork speak for itself, while still providing a strong, cohesive brand identity that ties the various elements together.
