New York Neon is a extensively researched book by Thomas E. Rinaldi, who began photographing signs in 2006.

“The title font is Tarzana, a contemporary alphabet that suggests the letterforms you’ll see on the old signs pictured inside the book.” — Rinaldi

Modern Good designed the book, rounding the corners of Tarzana for the cover and outlining it in neon fashion for chapter openers, such as “The Bronx” title below.
