The Foundry Types

The Foundry (1989–2000) was established by David Quay and Freda Sack. Assistant Stuart de Rozario joined in 1998. In 2001, Sack set up her own company, Foundry Types, to develop and market The Foundry’s retail library and create custom type. The firm went dormant in 2013 after selling its catalog to Monotype. In 2020, after Sack’s passing (2019), Quay and de Rozario reformed the studio as The Foundry Types. [The Foundry Types]
