Wilhelm Bilz

Affiliated with the Ludwig & Mayer foundry in Frankfurt. His role is unclear. Some sources state he was art director [Bernd Feldmann], and indeed Bilz is co-credited for two typeface designs on index cards by Ludwig & Mayer [Schriftenkartei 1958–1971]. Others dispute this claim, and describe his role as that of a manager [Reichardt/Hoefer].
