A Latin with horizontal contrast introduced by Farmer in 5 styles: Fashion (patented in 1876 by Andrew Little), Fashion Condensed (c. 1880), Fashion Condensed No. 1 (ornamented, no lowercase, before 1887), Fashion Antique (bolder and less contrast, designed by A.V. Haight in 1887), and Fashion Extra Condensed (by Julius Herriet, Jr., advertised in The Inland Printer of October 1891). [THP] [Reichardt 2011]

The Condensed was adopted for phototype by Headliners as part of the Morgan Press Collection as F 243. Solotype had Fashion Condensed and Condensed Ornamented (caps only?). [Solo 1992]
