Several German foundries added a lighter weight to their adaptations of Bradley. These similar and partly identical cuts include Original-Altgotisch (Stempel, ca. 1895 [Seemann] or around 1900 [Schnelle]), Original-Gotisch (Bauer & Co/Berthold, 1899), and, with wider caps, Altgotisch mager (Berthold, Haas, L. Wagner, Weber), and Neugotisch (John). [Seemann] It’s not clear which version came first. Flinsch’s (and later Bauer’s) Kloster-Gotisch mager and Ludwig & Mayer’s Werk-Gotisch are related cuts but with clear differences.
Gerhard Helzel made a digital version named AltGotisch (1996).
