Black from the phototype era, of unclear origin. No
lowercase. Distinguished from Blippo
Black by ‘B’ and ‘H’ (closed), ‘F’ and ‘T’ (narrower),
‘Q’ (tail to the right), ‘V’ and ‘Y’ (verticals). Numerals and the
question mark are different, too. Used already
in 1973.
Shown as Eden by Lettergraphics [1974 Conways
poster] [Lettergraphics
1976] and Typeshop [Typeshop c.
1977], with an alternate ‘Y’. Shown by Castcraft as
Morry (“similar to Eden”) [Castcraft
1978]. Judging from the glyph sets shown by Daylight Fonts,
Morry appears to be different from Eden
in a few glyphs, incl. ‘F’ (top arm not curved) and ‘G’ (beveled
bar, as in Blippo), but More…
