“The idea for FF PEECOL was born from the need for small, quickly downloadable files on the web. eBoy found that consistently using 36×36 pixel images significantly reduced the overall load-time. In no time at all they had developed a series of upper and lower bodies, text balloons and accessories – a building block set of Frankenstein proportions. It seemed a logical step to then make a font of the various components. The wish now is to share the FF PEECOL idea and hope that other designers will follow suit, creating new designs of standard size and raster that can be freely mixed and matched.” — FontFont
