Designed by Rudolf Koch, 1927–29 for Klingspor. Similar to his Kabel, but with parallel thick and thin strokes. Just like Kabel, Zeppelin comes with round alternates for a number of caps incl. ‘AEFKMNRVW’.
Digital revivals include one by Doug Olena (Keystrokes) as Zepplin [sic], one by Compugraphic (now Monotype; no designer credited, maybe Olena’s?), and a freebie by Dieter Steffmann (2003). Neither is 100% accurate in the details (see ‘a’ or ‘ß’), and lack the long ‘s’ and the alternates and ligatures available in the metal original.
