Made in the early 1970s as film type by Franklin Photolettering. [Canada Type] Used already in 1972. Shown as Pinto Flare in Modern Display Alphabets (Dover, 1974), with swash and biform alternates. Also carried by Facsimile Fonts as Maverick [Gorissen 1974] and by Lettergraphics as Mustang Flair. [Lettergraphics 1976] Shown by Castcraft as Pinto Flair, with aliases Mustang and Maverick. [Castcraft 1978] Not to be confused with Pinto.
