AC Kolektiv is a loose reinterpretation of Kolektiv as designed in 1952 in a team effort by Czech designers Karel Míšek, Stanislav Duda, and Josef Týfa. It also incorporates influences from other sources, like Fry’s Baskerville, which was likely the inspiration for the 1952 design. The new Kolektiv highlights the contributions of Týfa, incorporating elements present in his late typefaces such as the inverted contrast for ‘z’. It also introduces entirely new details including tear drop terminals.
