Designed by Henry Schuenemann and released by Cleveland Type Foundry [Reichardt] sometime between 1885–93 [catalogs].
Phototype adaptations by Photo-Lettering [1965 catalog], VGC [1972 catalog], Photoscript [1973 catalog], and by Solotype in Victorian Display Alphabets (Dover, 1976). The latter was used as a basis for a (not yet available) digitization called Gallantry by Alan Jay Prescott in 2013.
