Design started in 1912 [Commercial Art, 1927], following a request of Georges Peignot. [Wikipedia] According to Reichardt, the roman was issued by Peignot & Fils in 1913. Other sources suggest that all three styles incl. Naudin italique and the open all-caps Naudin champlevé were issued only in 1924, by Deberny & Peignot.
The roman was digitized as OPTI Mayflower (Castcraft, 1990, used for sample), further expanded as Mayflower Antique (Dieter Steffmann, 2000).
