A typeface for cartographic use, of unclear origin. Shown in Berthold’s E1 catalog (1974) in roman and oblique styles. Similar to Karten-Augustea. The LinoTypeCollection catalog (1989) shows the upright Römisch and a second, much lighter Haar weight.
Linotype’s digital version offers both weights in 3 styles each; Stehend (upright), Liegend (oblique), and Rückwärts Liegend/Reclining (left oblique).
